Full Itinerary

Upon arrival at the port, our guide and driver will transfer you to Nijo-jo Castle, the World Heritage Site known as the early residence of the first shogun of Edo times. This five-story palace is featured by Japanese feudal architecture with stone walls, large gate, and moats. We can also take a mini walk along the Ninomaru Garden to have a glance at the traditional landscape.

Then, we will get to Jinmatsuan and have a savory lunch and tea ceremony while refreshing by Maiko. It will be an interesting experience to learn how to prepare green tea in Japanese style with traditional sweet – Wasanbon instructed by Maiko’s guide. We then indulge dances, music and unique clothing of Maiko.

Head to Kiyomizu-Dera Temple or called as Pure Water, we start our visit from the pond surrounding the temple. The temple is home to a variety of cherry and maple trees, so you will have a great opportunity to immerse into porcelain-pink and red-orange colors. Taking a glimpse of local practices praying, you can seemly image Japanese traditional religion. Kyoto day tour from cruise port ends with a drive back to your port.
