Full Itinerary
Our local guide and driver will meet you at the port and we then transfer to the first stop – Goryokaku Park & Tower. Regarded as a national special historic site, the park is star-shaped in lush green scenery in the spring as specific. You can get a glimpse of the spectacular view of cherry blossom flowers creating a great background for Goryokaku Tower.
The next visit in your Hakodate excursion is Hakodate Botanical Garden – Yunokawa Hot Spring. You will feel the cold weather and thick snow in this place that is the reason why monkeys immerse into hot springs to be warm. We can enjoy the scenery of funny monkeys jumping down the springs and shaking the snow out of their hair.
Then, head to Hakodate-Asaichi Market where you can discover the best of local life as well as a variety of products, especially fresh-caught seafood such as crabs, salmons, sea urchin… You can enjoy a special meal with these tasty foods by local chefs under Japanese style. Go through Hachiman-zaka and Motomachi Areas and stroll along sloping streets, we can capture the view of the port as Western-style buildings, churches, and ancient architectures. Immerse yourself into the elegant and scenic space of the lovely area.
After that, we will visit the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. The place is home to various restaurants and stores, once opening for international trade at the end of Edo times and becomes a place of shopping and entertainment today. Especially, Hakodate History Plaza in the area is served as a beer hall and exhibition as well. Next, climb up Mt. Hakodate to enjoy the spectacular sunset view by rope-way, which offers a breathtaking vista along the path. We will stand on the height of 300 meters for capturing the great night view in Japan from sparkling lights in front of your eyes. The trip ends when we drive you back to the port for your next Japan shore excursion.
