Full Itinerary

Picked up by your guide and driver at the Muroran port, your shore trip will start with the first visit to Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill where you can soak up the breathtaking scenery and panorama of the entire Sapporo city. You can stop at the statue of Dr. Clark – the pioneer of Hokkaido’s development to take some scenic photos.

The following destination will be the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building which is also well–known as “Red Brick Building”. The building houses documents and exhibitions about Hokkaido’s history. Walking around the surrounding garden, you will be amazed by the fresh air of blooming flowers and lush green trees.

Then, your driver will transfer you to visit the Sapporo Clock Tower, the historical and cultural symbol of the founding of the modern city in the 1870s. It is now a museum dedicated to the history of the building and the lives and work of the early graduates and teachers of Sapporo Agriculture College presented using display panels.

Your shore excursion to Muroran continues on to the next place Ohori Park which is set up around the old ditch of Fukuoka Castle ruins. The park provides an urban oasis for the surrounding area, where you can enjoy green trees and water. Also, you can explore lines of clothing stores and a huge shopping department in the area.

Last but not least, pay a visit to Sapporo Beer Museum which displays one of the oldest and most popular beer brands in Japan. Visiting the museum, you will have a chance to learn about the Sapporo beer’s history, and how to make it. Don’t miss to take a fresh glass beer in the interestingly strange atmosphere inside the museum which is designed like a vintage Western bar. Tour ends when your driver transfers you back to the port.
