Welcomed by guide and driver at the port and transfer to the first spot in this Takamatsu shore excursion – Shikoku Mura. Shikoku Mura is an open-air museum that displays traditional buildings and different structures representing for the culture of many residences in Shikoku Island. These buildings and structures include farmhouses, storehouses, workshops, bridges, and even a kabuki theater that still actives occasionally.
Next, visit Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum named by the famous sculptor Isamu Noguchi who put his wish of creating a studio to inspire artists and scholars. Ready to explore Noguchi’ working atmosphere through his art interpreting eternal verities. Take a stroll along with an Edo Period storehouse, the front yard with 150 stone sculptures, and a Meji Period warehouse nearby.
After that, don’t miss the chance to freely shopping at Takamatsu Shopping Arcades - the longest one in Japan. The street is lined up by hundreds of restaurants, department stores, retail shops selling from traditional Japanese goods to high-quality oversea export products.
