Full Itinerary
Following the cruise port pick up by your guide and driver, kick off the excursion by a visit to Asakusa Senso-ji Temple – the oldest and the most popular temple in Tokyo. The temple dedicates to Kannon, the goddess of mercy. Enter through the Thunder Gate – the symbol of Asakusa Town as well as of Tokyo. Take a leisure walk through Nakamise shopping arcade that is lined up by dozens of stalls selling Japanese souvenirs such as yukata, kimono and folding fans. This shopping street has lasted for several centuries. Give a try to some traditional snacks from the Asakusa and dress up for some nice shots.
The end of Nakamise street will lead you to the second gate of Sensoji Temple called the Homozo. Beyond the gate lies the temple’s main hall and a five-storied pagoda renowned as Asakusa Shrine. There are lively festivals taking place in this bustling hall, particularly during summer and autumn. Admire the appearance of iconic red color sprayed in wooden-made architecture while learning about the religious practices and rituals of locals coming to pray for fortunes and good health.
Continue to Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills where you can catch the panoramic Tokyo City View from the 52nd-floor observation deck. The sight of sunset, sunrise, or at night is amazingly magnificent over skyscrapers and shinning buildings below. Drive through the Rainbow Bridge on the way back to the airport. The bridge is originally in white but is lighten with lamps in three different colors every night. The trip ends when the driver drops you at the port.
