Full Itinerary
On arrival at Ishigaki port, our awaiting guide and driver are ready to transfer you to the very first destination: Torinji Temple. Torinji Temple is one of the earliest structures built by wood in Okinawa Prefecture. Boasting both ancient architectural style and religious decorations, the temple impresses visitors by its unique look. Journey to Tojin Tomb – the colorful Chinese-style tomb memorial of Tojin Baka dedicated to a group of Chinese laborers who were drowned in the wreck or killed by their overseers as they tried to escape when they were being transported from Xiamen to the USA and the ship ran aground on the coral off the coast of Ishigaki.
Later, set your foot on the Banna Mountain Observation Deck to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean or the East China Sea and even the serpentine streets of the city. In addition, Banna Park possesses a path full of plants and multi-hued butterflies, and a spacious playing area for your kids. The following destination is Ishigaki Yaima Village – a theme park in which you can try making Sata Andagi, the traditional Okinawa sweet, or wearing the Ryukyu clothes. This village is well-known for squirrel monkeys that you can reach closer to this adorable creature and feed them. Ishigaki Yaima is an ideal place to admire the beauty of the tropical flora and fauna ecosystem. Across the village, there are eateries and shops that you can taste the local specialty and bring home some souvenirs.
Depart Yaima village and head to the Nagura Bay where you will enjoy an exciting dive into the lively underwater world. As we reach Kariba Bay, be mesmerized by the stunning landscape while leisurely strolling along the beach. Board a boat trip with glass bottom or go snorkeling to see gigantic crams or clownfish. This activity is available on customers’ own accounts.
Continue the Ishigaki shore excursion to Yonekoyaki Pottery Studio where the most colorful shisa statuettes are made. Don’t forget to buy traditional shisa figurines in various sizes at affordable prices. The last stop in the trip today is Tamatori-saki Observation Deck where you can enjoy the bird-eye view of the imposing scenery of the sea, lush green mountains and the tree-fringed beach. Trip ends by getting on our vehicle to turn back to the port.
